He has an energy, one that few have had. Sam had it, but he wasn't so stoked. Greene had it, but greene'd done it for two other teams and would whore himself out to whoever. Baggage.
All the other guys who had any real success, had already gotten labeled hurt, or had already held out, or whatever. Delhomme's "new" hasn't worn off yet.

I was afraid that he might take his "gunslinger" mentality and start to force things. Start making poor choices - trying to force balls in tighter spots, starting throwing up balls more often hoping Moose or Smith would make the adjustments but I don't think thats going to be a problem. He is playing as smart and as cool as ever.

I think he's going to have a monster year. Instead of everyone talking about the Panthers running game this year it's going to be all Jake, all the time.

if there is any one person that deserves credit for turning this team around it's rubber arm Jake. No offense has clicked for the Panthers like Jake's. The 99 O was good but not nearly as hard to defend as this one.

Dehomme rocks. He has a presence about him when crunch-time comes, and it shows. When we signed him last year I really was pulling for him to come through....

Jake sure look like the real deal. If he plays like this all year he is going to be considered up there with Favre and Peyton.

The '99 O did not have the weapons this O has. They did not have a running back worth a damn in '99 and the OL was pretty sad too. This offense is well rounded and balanced. The OL is even a lot better than '99. Bline would have killed to have Gross protecting his blindside.
