"Calling occupants of interplanetary crafts", they ROCK!! What a loss when Karen passed, although she has brought to lite the struggles we all have with eating, and has left a long and enjoyable catalog of music, that in my opinion, should be on HEAVY rotation on everybody's IPOD!! I like to listen to them on "Rainy Days and Mondays", when there is "A Kind of Hush", but alas, "We've Only Just Begun"!! Everybody agree?:spacecraf

Klaatu never got the recognition they deserved. Long Live Politzania!

Never really dug their guitar solos. He was more of a shredder. I always felt their songs needed melodic solos. More emotion. I don't need to hear how fast you can run up and down a penatonic scale. You aren't compeating with Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Vai...

Just thought it was a strange sound to hear in a Carpenters song.

They really did keep it real, Karen dies, typical rock and roll superstar, and Richard was so whacked out on drugs the whole time, all he can do is smile and try to keep himself upright at the piano. Party like Karen Carpenter!

They were pretty hardcore back in the day. I remember reading about Karen getting all coked up and doing the gangbang scene. This was before her eating disorder spiraled out of control. These guys were bigtime swingers. Richard was into watching Karen satisfy multiple men (usually black...guess it was a fetish).

Anyways, they did write some catchy tunes. Not bad. Still never cared for the insane guitar wailing. Would have fit Van Halen, Metallica, or Iron Maiden MUCH better. Guess they were a little cutting edge as well...
