It does not seem to me that the Poston brothers are getting many (IF ANY) of their players on the field of play.

Add Charles Woodson to the list of possible Poston holdouts. SURPRISE . . . he is represented by Gambles rep Carl. The Raiders FO doesn't expect Woodson to hold out all year but they do not expect him for camp. A call to Woodson's agent, Carl Poston, was not returned on Wednesday. Orlando Pace, the Rams' franchise player, is another holdout whose agent is Carl Poston. All-Pro linebacker Julian Peterson of San Francisco also is expected to hold out as a franchise player. Peterson is represented by Carl Poston's brother, Kevin”. As of this evening the word is that Kevin Poston is unlikely to have Winslow signed by the start of camp. However, at least he's presently in Cleveland and in the process of negotiations (as of today).

I know that this can not be a complete accounting of the Poston brothers NFL clients. Does anyone know of any more of their potential holdouts that I didn’t list above. I’d also like to know if anyone here is aware of any of their players who HAVE signed so far. Is it possible that all of their NFL clients are currently without contracts?

Reggie Williams remains unsigned but JDR recently was quoted as saying the he "expected" to have Williams signed and in camp on time. Yeah right.
Karlos Dansby taken with the first pick in the 2nd round by Arizona remains unsigned . . . couldn't find anything else about it.
I forgot about Ty Law. Haven't seen anything new on him lately.
Arrington & Milloy are the only guys I could find of the Postons who are apparently signed right now.
Two guys out of 11 or 12 I think . . . at this late date that makes them look pretty bad IMO. If I was a player who wanted to actually PLAY I would look elsewhere for an agent.

Winslow likely late for camp

The Browns have had a few conversations with agents Carl and Kevin Poston regarding the contract for top draft pick Kellen Winslow Jr. But the odds of having a deal wrapped up by the opening of camp on Friday are incalculable.

Communication has been good, said a club official. Overall signings this year are coming at a slower pace. Things will pick up this week.

The one source of encouragement for an on-time Winslow appearance is that Poston-client Charles Rogers agreed to terms with the Detroit Lions last year without missing a practice.

There's a big difference this season, however.

The Postons tied their demands last year to the deal of the league's No. 1 pick, quarterback Carson Palmer of Cincinnati. Significantly, Palmer agreed to terms on April 25 - the day before the draft - giving the Postons and the Lions almost four months to hammer out details.

This year, there was no pre-draft deal for the No. 1 pick.

Quarterback Eli Manning was selected first by San Diego, and then traded to the New York Giants, who had the No. 4 pick. The Giants and Manning have had talks, but they are not close to an agreement.

Kevin Poston has indicated indirectly he would tie Winslow's figures to Manning's, even though Winslow was drafted five notches lower at No. 6.

Last year, the Postons negotiated a league-high $14.4 million signing bonus for Rogers. Palmer received $10.01 million immediately from the Bengals and $4 million this year.

Most everyone assumes the Postons will not get serious about negotiating until Manning's contract figures are in. A message to Poston's office for comment was not returned.

If that is the case, don't expect Winslow to be signed in time for Friday's first workout.

The Giants also start training camp on Friday, and they are not under any internal pressure to have Manning in on time.

If they're putting serious talks for Jean Claude Van Winslow on the backburner waiting for Eli maybe they'll have time to make a deal with us. Then again, I keep remembering that banghaha clip :scared2:

Thanks strat. It's somewhat encouraging that they got Rogers and Palmer in on time. However, I just can’t begin to understand or except how they can justify (and get away with) “tying Winslows figures to Mannings”. I’m assuming that means that they want him paid roughly an equivalent amount since that is what they initially were talking about when Winslow “got slighted” by being drafted at #6. The guy should get paid inline with what Taylor got paid <PERIOD>. As crucial as the salary cap is you would think that the league would have some sort of mediating committee that would have the authority to reign in agents who get carried away (like when Peyton was handed the sun & moon). The Postons seem to be obsessed with the Mannings and hung up on how much they are getting. I hope Eli doesn’t have the same agent Peyton has . . . hell he’s bound to. Oh shite. :scared2:

Yeah, I'm very curious to see if they actually get away with even getting Winslow close to the monster deal that Eli has got coming. If so maybe Cleveland fans WILL hunt down the Postons and slaughter them.

In the WSJ an article said that none of Poston's rookies were signed as of today. Fuck the greedy bastards. Those deals should be for a 5% increase over the last year's figure for the draft position, or close. The rest is just fucking ego.
