I am seeing some ESPN talking heads say Carolina should sign Bridgewater and release Cam. Any speculation on any such notion will probably be based on how he looks physically at workouts next month. That sounds far too outlandish with this rebuild afoot. If you could sign Bridgewater affordably, big if, and shuck some chumps elsewhere on the team, I could see that.
But if salary money is motivation, the money Dak will command trumps that school of thought. Anyway someone like Gruden would make a play for Dak if Dallas hedges?

The team brass seems to have a myopic focus on "going backwards to go forward", which is depressing, because there's several ways to rebuild that don't involve subjecting your fanbase to guaranteed short term misery without a guaranteed payoff.
