Is he UFA?

We have a roomful of these dudes:

94 Leonard, Louis DT 6-4 325 25 3 Fresno State
60 Irvin, Corvey DT 6-3 302 24 R Georgia
75 Thomas, Hollis DT 6-0 340 36 14 Northern Illinois
93 Tyler, Tank DT 6-2 306 25 3 North Carolina State
99 Kemoeatu, Maake DT 6-5 345 31 8 Utah
Johnson, Ed DT 6-2 296 26 2 Penn State
98 Hayden, Nick DT 6-4 292 24 1 Wisconsin
61 Landri, Derek DT 6-2 290 26 3 Notre Dame
92 Lewis, Damione DT 6-2 301 32 9 Miami (Fla.)

I wonder if Irvin will pan out. Ditto Ed Johnson.

At 15 years in the league, Thomas just made the UFA cutoff.

And that list is an example of what worries me at DT- we got better depth, but we aren't improved from last year we're just better equippped if Kemo doesn't recover/is cut. There's still a need to upgrade.

i'd hate to see the buffet table that's in the same room

As long as Hayden doesn't play a big role in the rotation we should be okay

I want to see Hollis & Kemo line up next to each other

ideally we wouldn't have needed Thomas, either. He didn't make the difference every play but our YPC was so much better with him in.

But, had we had good 300 lb depth, we would've just gone with that. My guess is he won't be around. And I'm mixed on that. A huge guy doesn't fit.

Agree . .. I'm almost positive that Fox & Co will see absolutely no need to draft a DT (unless he's a 7th round garbage pick)
There is just about a half ton more mediocre on the roster now than last year
