Awesome. I hope he does this at least three more seasons. I just love tearyeyed retirement press conferences and subsequent return speculation.

NFLN was talking about (think they said) 1,500 Favre jersey's sold within 2 hours of him signing. 2,000 more season tickets were sold, and 6,000 single game tickets...
He did the same thing in NY and now it appears as though the Jets will be getting that new stadium they wanted. The Vikings are also trying to get a new stadium and Favre could even be the catalyst for that.
Did he make the team on the field better? Who knows... did he make the franchise better? No doubt.
Wait til he goes to GB... it's going to be great. I hope he kicks their asses.

The new place for the Giants and Jets had already been in the works. As far as on the field, it's worth noting that 3 of Favre's last 4 teams have missed the playoffs. So we need to erase the notion that he automatically makes teams better. The Vikings were already a contender with Jackson. If they win that division again, it won't be because of Favre.
