Scouts Inc. is hearing that the long-rumored Travis Henry-for-L.J. Shelton trade will be consummated within the next few days.

The deal has been delayed over the Bills' insistence that draft picks are included. Buffalo has been asking the Cardinals to switch spots in the second round, which Arizona now appears willing to do. If the trade goes through, Buffalo will move up from pick No. 55 to No. 44.

The only thing that could hold up the deal now is the status of Henry's contract. He has one year left on his deal, and the Cardinals would want to sign him to a long-term contract before making a trade.

well, that would put Buffalo ahead of us in the 2nd. Doesn't really impact us a ton. AZ probably won't draft a back - duh - and they don't need a WR, obviously. An OT would defeat the purpose, and them being behind us in the 2nd would help us if we were after an OT there.

Seems to be a wide-ranging thought that AZ is going to take one of the two QBs if they fall to 8.

If it makes Benson fall to #14 I think we take him and keep him. Unless Derrick Johnson falls that far I do not see how we pass him up.

Benson will probably be productive, but big backs with 4.55 speed can be had later in the draft. Simply being productive shouldn't earn you a top 15 pick - Benson has that typical failure type look - not enough burst to get away like he had in his conference, already has high miles.

He could be Eddie George, or he could be Ron Dayne. Considering there are other guys who fit the bill as well, at a lower price, I'd rather wait.

You are not going to get a guy of Benson's caliber later in the draft. There is more to playing running back than your 40 time.

maybe philly trades up for him.
