Help my putr is dead!

Ive got nada! When it starts the monitor switches to rest and I have no video during post. it is stalling during post put there is no pc speaker so I get no beeps. The sound card emits random sounds from the speakers

I tried pressing F1 but apparenty the bios never gets to the keyboard part of post.

Would half a blown power suppy cause that type of probem Ive had a fan noise for awhile that I no longer have but the 2 fans in the pc are working.

I'm totally at a loss.

then don't listen because there's a GOOD chance it is... that would explain tyhe lack of access to the bios... cheapest route is to try a Power Supply first... sounds like you needed one anyways... and if that doesn't work you know the next step.

Well I put a meter on the power supply connector and it says I have the proper votages where I am supposed to have them so looks like I get one o those ASUS mobos everyone is cumming in their pants over.

I would change the cmos battery on the mobo before I did anything else.

I'm gonna try the warranty thing, but most likey to have a computer before horns start blowing, I'll probably end up buying a new one.

The cpu blew, the heatsink got full of dust. fuckin xp
