Harrington Gone Soon?

According to PFT :

"We've heard this afternoon that Harrington has asked the team to either trade him or release him, and that the team will accommodate his request before a significant roster bonus comes due on June 15."


This guy has a lot of nerve. What has he ever done for the Lions except eat cap space. I wonder if he could thrive somewhere else......doubt it. It is a good thing we did not draft him that year....​

Tne Lions signed Kitna and it is repoted that Kitna was told he could compete for the starting job.

He has a 4 mil bonus due June 15th which makes him untradable…no one is going to pay him that. He’s only going to get backup money and a backup job somewhere. Getting rid of him will free up a lot of cap room.

They are still talking to McCown…he is supposed to make his decision between Oakland, vikes, and Detroit by the end of the week…possibly even today.

They ought to just let him go and plan on starting Kitna. They should then draft a QB to take over in a year or two.

The funniest thing is, even Kitna could throw for 400 yards in a Martz offense. 5 interceptions, but 400 yards.

that's what pisses me off...if harrington had told them this shit a few days earlier, they could have made a run at brees....the vikes wouldn't have traded dante to a divisional opponent unless they were sure his knee was comepletely fucked.

yeah, two castoffs fighting it out for the starting job. at least both are better than harrington. as a lions fan, I just hope martz can work his magic like he did with bulger, warner, and trent green....all of whom weren't exactly considered top shelf talent.
