anywhere I lay my head I'm gonna call my home
he still has a ways to go with the run game. He's a natural in outside leveraging the OT, but he's not a vet shedding the run block.

Which, I know what you might be thinking - his first highlight with the team was a run-stuff. That's what sparked this in my mind, he hit the guy unencumbered. Looking at it again, he was stunting. A good playcall and a player who took advantage.

Hardy could be one of the best steals we've had in the draft. Way to early to go overboard on him but he showed some nice skills in the time he had and I'm sure he's still pissed about how far he fell in the draft.

as a unit, we should be better without Peppers

i get the feeling the Dline is out to prove something without him here...

the talent level is not the best in the league or do we have a lot of experience, but there's enough talent across the board to rotate and keep guys fresh without much drop off from this guy to the next... they all have the motor and i like the scheme to make it work

I don't see a big dropoff because of any one guy, or going further with TD, two. Not that it's a direct comparison, but the argument that we'd definitely finish worse than 2008's 18th overall? I don't see that happening again this year (and we certainly did improve on 18th last year, but with Peppers).

Team has too much ability to quit on itself like 2008 at the end.

Davis is a bigger loss then Peppers

losing davis was huge. a big, big drop off from him to anderson on passing downs. the problem with our D this year is going to be the lack of impactive players. right now we have Beason and no one else. just a bunch of guts and grit. losing davis and peppers is huge, no two ways about it. teams basically can game-plan with ease and not have to worry about anyone in particular on D.

actually losing peppers is addition by subtraction... i already don't miss him

I think our D will be fine against the pass. I think we will get decent pass rush from the guys we have and that the secondary will hold up pretty well. I am more worried about stopping the run. We need to get something decent from our DTs and that is still the biggest question mark I have about our D.
