*Drafted in 1996

*Nine-year veteran

*6'2", 220

*Has caught 100 passes in a season.

*Has appeared in an NFC title game

*Not a puppy anymore, as this man turns 31 years old tomorrow.

If you guessed Muhsin Muhammad......you'd be wrong. (Moose is also 31, also appeared in the NFCC---and won it.)

If you guessed Terrell Owens....DING!!

The point of this long-winded post is to reveal a little bit of irony. Moose is the same age as Owens, has been to the pro bowl, is 5th in the conference in receiving and 2nd in touchdowns.

Yet, Muhammad is the "aging veteran" who is on his last leg, while Owens is the Eagles' receiver of the future.

If you asked me who is the better receiver, I would tell you Owens. If you asked me who I would rather have, I would tell you Muhammad. Better blocker, doesn't ever bitch, similar size, similar speed, similar hands. Owens just gets more looks.

I know I'm in the minority here, since everybody and their brother is on the T.O. Bandwagon this year. But I like Moose. Always have.

I'd even rather have Owens, and I might've been the only one other than his wife defending him at one point. But him becoming a little lighter, getting under some deep balls, means he's been able to teach himself how to adapt to the offense, even if the offense couldn't adapt to what he does best.

His two pancakes of Leonard Little last year were my favorite hits of a Panther team behind Kris Jenkins' now long-forgotten flattening of Vick after the whistle.

that first sentence is Dukey-esque...care to elaborate? You start out talking about how you'd rather have Owens, but then talk about Moose.

Now that, we can agree on Mags.

yea, because Owens is so much faster than Muhammad.
you left out atheletic.

I get the Muhammad love fest, really I do, but lets not get crazy. There's a reason Owens is an MVP candidate, and it has nothing to do with towelgate.

3Muhsin MuhammadCAR63 962 15.3 10 51

Yeah, there's a big dropoff from 1st to 3rd in the NFC there...especially considering that Owens is the only real option McNabb has, and has been the go-to guy all year; whereas Moose has only been getting the looks for about 5 weeks now.

If Owens had those numbers in Arizona would he be an MVP candidate? Or even in Carolina for that matter?
