I was watching the game in fast forward mode and didn't have a chance to watch too closely. How did Gross do?

Should be an interesting challenge for the o-line.

I expect to see a lot of Foster between the tackles...

Gross does allright with speed rushers, he just makes mistakes against them. It's not that he gets beaten like a drum most of the time, it's just that at RT he couldn't man up and anchor a guy, just stop him in his tracks. He can't at LT if he goes up against a guy stronger than him or that has good inside and outside moves. Just gets walked back to the QB. That's as disappointing as anything, you'd figure he'd just be stoning the guy as soon as he makes contact, at RT, and yet he has his guy "controlled" but is getting pushed back.

yeah. I forget what they do in nickel but assume it's a standard 4-2, I'd guess Wimbley and McGinest are the ends.

Their outside rush is the only worthwhile aspect of their D. They can be run on, passed on, anything.

I haven't re-watched the game, but I kept a close eye on him yesterday. Something was different about him. He looked to have more energy and spark, before and during the plays. He was actually bouncing around in the huddle, which I've never seen from him.

I dunno...that might have had something to do with it. Maybe the coaches got to him hard last week, or he slammed down several Red Bulls before the game.

I haven't re-watched the game, but I kept a close eye on him yesterday. Something was different about him. He looked to have more energy and spark, before and during the plays. He was actually bouncing around in the huddle, which I've never seen from him.

Jake said he was excited to be playing LT during the lead up to the Minn game. Maybe he's feeling more comfortable after 2 1/2 games there, and maybe he thinks he has a chance to stay over there if he plays well. He knows LT is the star position, or maybe he just likes it better. That's where he played in college.

That is where the money is too. If he excels at LT he will command a nice pay day down the road.
