I know he has a bum foot right now, but GOOD GOD his defense has been absolutely terrible tonight. BC losing by 17 to Vermont

since when was did he ever play defense?

good PG on the offensive end but he will get burned regularly with those slow feet.

His D was bad last year but that is the worst I've ever seen Paulus play defense. It was so bad that Nelson and Scheyer had to switch over. Scheyer is a good defender and Nelson is pretty long for a guy who is 6-4. McRoberts started off terrible but picked it up and Henderson did well. Duke has hardly any outside shooting. The only consistent threat they have is Scheyer. Lance Thomas is really scrappy and I thought he played pretty well. Duke's free throw shooting is downright frustrating to watch. They are atrocious from the line except for McRoberts, Scheyer and Paulus. Nelson played well tonight and looks like he has an extra hop in his step. The team playing right now will look a lot different by the end of the year. I'm looking forward to seeing the freshman develop and I think Scheyer will end up being a silky smooth shooter. The outside weapons will come next year, but I think Duke will be good. Glad to see McClure back on the floor and hitting that jump shot. I thought he'd be a pretty solid bench guy after seeing him in the ACC tournament two years ago. Duke will get better and better and more consistent with every passing game

Different Duke team that in recent memory. More balanced and better able to look to a different option if one is taken away.

McRoberts
Zoubek
Nelson
Scheyer
Thomas
Henderson

All capable of putting up double digits on any given night.

Solid role players in Paulus, McClure, Pocius and Boykin.

I'm glad Marty is getting some minutes as well as McClure. They add depth and Coach K is showing that he isn't hesitant to go to the bench. Paulus' conditioning is probably way down from normal since he hasn't ran much in practice because of his foot. Hopefully he can log more minutes. When Nelson runs the point it scares the shit out of me. Scheyer has a better handle than I thought he would. It seemed like they were playing so bad but you look up and they win by 24 :grossergrinser:
