Green Street Hooligans

Came up in my brother's Netflix queue, so we watched it this weekend. Elijah Wood, Claire Forlani, and a buncha british guys you've never heard of.

It's about a bunch of soocer (futbol!) hooligans in England. Elijah's character gets kicked out of Harvard a couple months short of graduation cause his douchebag rich kid roomie stashes his cocaine in Elijah's stuff and basicly pays him off/forces him to take the fall for it. Elijah goes to live with his sister in London and runs into these guys.

The ending is pretty lame, but the middle part of the movie is pretty solid. Lots of beer drinking and brawling. Kind of a watered down fight club vibe too.

It's not worth going out of your way for, but it isnt a waste of time either. I'd give it a solid B.

Yeah, its a decent flick. But its one of those movies if you're from the UK you end up pointing out all the inaccuracies. So this flick was definately intended for a US audiences.

Check out "The football factory" if you want to see where they ripped this movie from. Its got even more of those foreign actors nobodys heard before.

it was in the sale bin at Walmart and I picked it up...

REALLY enjoyed it.
