I can't wait to see this arrogant asshole get taken down. I just saw a snippet of him being asked by Pedro (ESPN guy who routinely kisses Bonds ass) and Bonds was saying that Pedro had issues for asking a legitimate question about Bonds being investigated for perjury.

I agree that a good number of the players of that time were taking the drugs and that MLB knew about it. Selig is such a freaking joke. It's Bonds holier than thou attitude that pisses everyone off. Giambi came clean (sort of) and everyone has forgotten about him. If Bonds would have done as much back the this would all be forgotten

It would have been harder on Bonds to come forward. Giambi isn't breaking any records. And he was already in a rough patch with the parasite, he was looking at maybe not playing again. Now he's got that feel good comeback and comin clean story to sell.

But yeah, I've had this argument with vp before. Bonds is everyone's favorite target for steroids. He does bring a lot of it on himself for being an ass to the press, sure. But anyone with eyes and ears knew this shit was going on long before Barry showed up with some extra muscle mass. McGwire and Sosa were allowed to trample one storied record, no one said shit then because people liked the story and liked Big Macaroid and Mr. Mespeakanoenglish and it made Bud and his cronies a lot of money.

This is very selective memory. What actually happened is that andro was a story non-stop for the rest of the season. Bonds is under assault now in large part because of the specific details that have come out about his use because of the BALCO scandal, and because of his testimony before the grand jury. If there were only suspicions and nothing else, he wouldn't be under as much presssure as he is.
