We are still the same thing we were last week, worse in some ways with the injuries.

We are a good team in a lot of areas. And we are not so good in some others.

Good

1. Davis - A great weapon, no matter how you twist it.
2. Attitude - No panic, No quit. Not even last week.
3. Being Physical - A mindset. We like to hit. Its not only the guys up front. Minter with the big play. Grant has become a good tackler. Little RMJ gets after it. We will plays when nothing is there. The Florida Marlins of the NFL.
4. Special teams - A couple of miscues, but overall we did good things. Kasay. Sauburn did a good job going out of bounds and getting decent position for the most part.

Bad

1. We aren't very good vs the Run with Fields and Morgan out. Case in point, today. No run when you have a guy chasing. Take that speed away and Duece cuts it back vs our capable, but average backups. No big gainers but a markable difference.
2. Need more weapons. We'll add them.
3.Too many fades and deep routes. Perhaps with Moose out, and that's all that perhaps Young can run at this point. It would be nice to be able to run a square in with someone that isn't 5'9. Jake has to get it over the line, you know.
4. Reggie Howard sucks. Terry Cousins is marginal. Our best cover guy is 5'9.
5. Our margin for error is thin. And we need to force more errors from the other guys to win.

Today, we did.

Got to make a change

Manning should start with Howard the nickle, where the hell is Wesley?

We didn't seem to get to Brooks much. Guessing that it was droping LBs into coverage.

We said this two weeks ago.

Apparently we must be reminded that Howard sucks and you better put your best cover guy up against Horn before he runs you off the field.

I think the Saints made the Panthers look bad for a while, because that's what good teams do. Panthers showed heart, their a solid team, and they beat a very good Saint team today.

17 unanswered points, but held them to 3 in the second half. Same team that put up 45 last week.

There's more positives than negatives, and there's no such thing as a perfect game.

I'm happy

GOOD
1. Stephen Davis is a friggin' horse.
2. Ricky Manning looks like a player.

BAD
1. Todd Steussie
2. Our vanilla defense. We are just not going to generate enough pass rush with our front 4 without blitzing. When we do blitz it's always with a DB.
3. Jake Delhomme doesn't look like our QB of the future. Makes too many bad throws and never looks off the defender.

6-1 is 6-1 though.

Meaning that coaching decisions can be negatives as much as positives. When they should only be positives by nature.

Our positives are very nice to have. But they're inconsistent. Our negatives are deadly, and consistent. That margin of error is potentially very small.

Good:

-2ndary did a good job overall, besides howard getting burned on that td by a gimpy joe horn. we held the saints to 179 yards passing and a lot of it was nothing substantial. as many have said, put manning and cousin out to start, and bring in howard as a nickel back.

-will witherspoon: seems to be growing week-in and week-out as a player. made a huge pass defense n in the redzone and also picked one off. shuffling between OLB and MLB isnt easy, and he does a solid job.

Bad:

-passing game

-overusing stephen davis
