Thinking that Gettleman's view of how to build a roster is to pay elite players at key positions elite money, (say 4 on each side of the ball) and fill out the other 45 roster spots with rookies and bargain vets on short term cheap deals.

This was Mike Lombardi's plan too (he talked about blue chips endlessly)

He made a big deal about "if 10 players are making all the money you have a problem".

Then there is the word that he never missed on a FA when he was in NY, his eye for talent is prety darned sharp. But I don't have as good feelings about his HMFIC ability.

Running Smitty off and forcing that POS Harper on us, I hate the ************. If we win a SB I'll still have a grudge against him.

I'll miss Steve Smith's quarterly cucking of an outspoken DB.
