In addition to hopefully squeezing in 4 or 5 (or more?) rooks a month from now a surge of new blood should make us all feel pretty good about the future. Kasay and Proehl should be our oldest remaining bastards at 35 and 37 . . . Aside from them we should be getting younger in several areas -
Willig 36 > Wharton 23
Weinke 32 &/or Peete 64 > Rutherford 24
Tylski 34 > Wahle 27
Sauerbrun 32 > Cheek 27
Hankton 34 > Ross 29
Buckner and Fields are 32 but at least we have Moorehead and Short around at 26 and 27 respectively.
Minter, Mitchell, and Mangum, are all 31 without any current replacements in line. Davis is the only other guy of note who is over 30 but he may not be in the picture anyway. Next year with Buck, Fields, and Minter likely to be passing the torch we should be in good shape age-wise.
