Give coaches one challenge per game, of anything, including penalties. Tell them to be very, very, very careful with that one challenge. If they get screwed on a call late but they burned their challenge on a frivolous 9 yard gain in the first half, tough shit.

They don’t. The Saints and their fans believe that Bountygate was blown out of proportion and they were unfairly punished.
I suppose I would feel the same way if this happened to the Panthers. But we have lost games over the years in large part because of poor officiating. Fuck, the NFL allowed opposing defenses to try to decapitate our QB for the better part of two years before they got embarrassed on opening night the year after SB50.

There was some moaning. Personally, I was in shock about losing to a team that gained less than 200 yards..among other things. The general public wasn’t going to say shit because the golden Boy could ride off into retirement having ‘won’ a second Lombardi. If some questionable calls go their way to help make that happen, so be it.
