Game Balls....well first of all Ricky Proehl for all those big catches.Next would have to be Mike Minter.Also gotta go with Jake Delhomme for his leadership and guts in the game winning drive....Anymore thoughts..

Proehl first off. Game saver.

I don't know whether to put Delhomme with one. He won the game with the ball in his hands, it's debateable whether the bad throws take him out of it, but the end result is that he was clutch when he had to be, and when he was out of Dan Henning's radio.

Minter.

You hate to just keep giving ST gameballs to kasay, but he's the only one of the skill players who had a great day. Sauerbrun's 54 yarder was clutch, but he had a day battling the wind, too. Smith sucked returning, Smart had one good one and it was called back.

Kasay, as well, did pin that pooch punt inside the 5.

give Pep one too. he finally got some holding calls aganst Key and then he was a terror in that backfield .

In the press conf. Jake said that the first int was purely over thrown and the last was a very bad attempt to throw it away. I'll give him the last one, at least he was trying to throw it away.

Kasay with the pooch rocked...would have love to see him try that FG. just not in this game..

The radio guys were going on and on about Peppers beating his man and causing a lot of pressure even though he didn't get any sacks.

Pep was getting more pressure, but he was also caught bullrushing a few times too many. The problem is you do have to separate eventually on those.

And the closest he got to the QB was on a stunt.

But he didn't give up this game.

Delhomme, no question in my mind. 20/32, 277 yards, 2 TD's, 2 INTs, his best game of the season, and he did it without Davis.

Stepped up and made clutch plays.

It's been a long time since Carolina seen that in a QB, and he's only going to continue to improve.

My O game ball goes to the entire WR corps. That's right, all of them. I didn't notice any drops (disclaimer: I missed the first quarter) and all of our top three made clutch catches -- Moose, Smith, Proehl. Not only that, but they definitely made Delhomme look better than he played. I've been blasting them all season -- time to give credit where credit's due.

My D game ball goes to Minter. The man is not only the heart and soul of this defensive team, he showed yesterday he's still got playmaking ability.

I'm hesitant to give a ST game ball out, but if I do, it goes to Kasay. The man is still perfect, and except for the ATL game, we've needed every one he's booted through.

Very honorable mentions go to the defensive line. Peppers played better than he has in weeks, Rucker was his consistant exceptional self, Wallace got a lot more playing time and made the most of it, Jenkins got pressure, and Burton even got a pass defensed.
