Jake. Of course.

Davis. With some blocking and a pumped up team, this is what he can do.

Smart. Special teams demon.

And Rucker. Defensive MVP with 3 sacks.

Also giving one to Kris Jenkins for that block.

not sure if it's official or not, but Rucker is listed with 2.5 and Jenks has half a sack. I'd give game balls to the very same guys you mentioned. Davis got 100 yards very quietly, it wasn't a pound it out game for him, he was just very efficient. That 3rd down run where he should have been stopped for a loss was extremely impressive to me. That's the kind of running we need late in games with this offense.

One more for Ricky “Clutch” Proehl.

And to Steve Smith. Great catch, some great returns.

Moose almost had two great TD catches.

Fox has to swallow it. You have to try and win games. You got to have gusy who can win you those games.

Peete can't. Jake can. He should have a long, long leash, cause he is going to make mistakes like today.

And if he gets hurt, put Weinke in. Again, he has that same ability. Not Jake's moxie, but Peete can't win games.

Absolutely. Jake's a playmaker, and playmakers make mistakes - a lot. As long as the net result is a positive, it's all his.

Not putting him in the same category as Favre but something about him makes me think of Brett. He's not scared to make plays.

Well I tell you one thing that was the most exciting O I ever remember the Panthers having in the 2nd half.

Delhomme for the O.
Smart on ST.
Rucker on D.

A few others with honorable mention.

Who played poorly?

Terry Cousins. Got beat for a touchdown twice.

I think Terry will turn it around, based on last year, but he can't let that happen in those situations.

And we still miss Mark Fields.

Our line played better in the second half, but they were getting pushed around at first. Thank goodness they blocked better for Jake, but they need to do that for that for anyone.

We got our sacks, but I'd like to have seen more pressure. Jenkins and Buckner were stout in the middle, but not much rush until late second half. Rucker was the only one with consistent pressure. Julius saw a lot of double teams.
