Game Balls

Harris was probably the MVP because the defense really won the game. Stewart provided the spark on offense. Jake's numbers were not impressive but it was a gutsy game by him.

All pumped up

Submitted by Darin on Sun, 2008-09-14 17:09. As it turns out, the biggest play of the day came nowhere close to scoring points, or converting a first down.
After a horrid first half, the Panthers bounced back for 20-17 win thanks in part to a questionable hit on QB Jake Delhomme. When Bears LB Lance Briggs came in late and low as Delhomme slid on a third-down play, the QB was knocked a little woozy and the Panthers finally got on their feet.
"It pissed a lot of ----------- off is what it did," FB Brad Hoover said, using one of the big swear-words to get his point across.
From that point in, the Panthers looked like a new team.
No injuries to report, they get Steve Smith back next week, so as bad as it looked early, this is one they'll look back on fondly.

that play was probably the best thing he did all day.

He could've had 2 TD on the day if not for penalties and King coming down a foot short, but even then he would've been under 200 yards.

Stewart, and then Moose for 10,000.
Harris. Should've been Gamble, FR and what should've been 2 INT.

Davis honorable mention on that gamewinner (from the strongside)
