    3. My first football memory was Soloman's 76 yard TD catch from Montana in the NFC Championship against the Redskins in January 84.

    I remember him from the first championship team the 49ers had. He was a big part of what they did in those early years. Sounds like he was a good guy after he retired as well.

    My dad was telling me earlier today about how he remembers his brother sending him letters while he was in Vietnam talking about how awesome Solomon was in high school.

    Apparently he's considered to have one of the greatest shrine bowl performances in history. 197 rushing yards and 3 TD. Oh yea, he was a QB then, not a WR that he became later on. Played his high school ball in Sumter SC.
