A lot of folks where upset when Spurrier went to Washington and we took Fox instead...

Who would you rather have now if you had the choice?

Spurrier is ruining the deadskins IMO. Fox is putting together a champ.

Incomplete means dick, fuck incomplete

And I'm putting together a puzzle right now. I won't know how well I've done until it's over.

Incomplete.

I liked the Fox decision when I saw his assistants. He was also a natural fit with Hurney, and I'd said so at the time. Of course, even at the time, I was tentative about Henning, and wanted a QBs coach.

I would have taken Marvin Lewis - I'll be honest about that. Dungy never would've come, and he'd have problems here on offense, too. Going there, with established OC, QB, and WR, was necessary. Would I have taken Lewis over Dungy? Yeah.

I said it then, and I'll reiterate it now, I'd have brought Willingham in, provided he would be willing to bring in pro coaches for the most part. That was a point of contention with Spurrier - his offensive staff was a joke, remnants of the UF staff and without an OC (I believe) and with his kid as QBs coach. That's not a staff.

As for Spurrier over Fox, I don't know. I bought into the hype a little, but I assumed he'd have acted like a pro coach, and I think JR saw it wasn't going to be that way. I'm glad.

At the time I was unimpressed with Fox' resume, but I knew he could bring the intensity and the discipline that Lewis could. Looking at what Lewis has done so far, with nothing, the way that team's supposedly snapping to attention (save Dillon), I do believe that Marvin Lewis would have been at least as good a choice at the time.

Right now, I can't be any happier with Fox. I'm frustrated by the lack of a young QB to bring in, or a balanced offense - neither of which seem to be on the agenda.

True dat.

Although maybe he fixed what he wanted first and now he is working on the icing. 2yrs ago this franchise was lost. Now we have a true direction and the talent level has grown immensely. We are gonna win a lot of games very soon IMO.

I anticipated our direction would be 99% defense in FOX's first year. Now if one of our 4 QBs performs even slightly better than Peete did last year, given our improved line, and RB situation, I see a very balanced offense this year.

Fox in da man!

I expect to see another QB next year, from where, who only knows?

It seems like the last several years, a lot of teams have at least one new QB on the depth chart... so thats pretty safe to assume.
