Lindros was drafted by the Nordiques and he cried so much they traded Philly for him. Shortly thereafter, Quebec/Colorado won the cup. Lindros still doesn't have his name on it. I think if he had stayed w/ Quebec, they wouldn't have won it either.

thought that was the deal--forsberg was an original pick of philly....

In all honesty, I don't fear the Flyers. Yes, they signed Forsberg, Hatcher and Rathje. However, they lost Roenick, Leclair, Amonte, Zhamnov and Malakhov.

They still haven't signed Gagne, Esche and Johnsson. All 3 are key components to the club. They still don't have a #2 goalie. And they only have under $10 million left to do all this. They likely have to make another trade to dump more salary (Handzus and/or Desjardins?)

Hindsight is 20-20 but looking back keeping Forsberg instead of packaging him in a deal for Lindros would have been the better scenario for the Flyers. Still, I'm happy he's a Flyer though his health is a major concern to me. He plays hard and gets dinged up constantly. I still think the Stanley Cup is out of reach though..
