Panthers | Favors to Start - from www.KFFL.com

Carolina Panthers LB Greg Favors, who has been working as the team's starter at strong-side LB, will stick as the starter this weekend. However, he will need to step up in order to keep his job after the team's recent signing of LB Mike Caldwell, whom the team believes can be the starter at the position.

Seidman :D

I might need to go get me a new jersey next week-end

As far as Seidman goes I'm not really shocked... the only reason I think he isn't already starting is because he missed many camp due to UCLA's exam period going on at the same time as the camp. He's big can lay some good blocks, but on top of that hes faster, more agile, and a better reciever than Mangum.

And for Caldwell I fully expect him starting soon. He's a vet so he should be able to pick up the defensive scheme a little faster than most. But if he isn't starting at LEAST following the Bye I'll be shocked.

Yeah, Favors isn't exactly sending a good message. The only message I see is 'I'm a back up trying to play like a starter'. Trying being the operative word. Hopefully he can tighten up his play enough to get us to the bye and Caldwell can take over thereafter.
