right now the most amount of assists in one season by a tar heel is 284 by ed cota. i have a feeling that felton will take over and get 300 or so. what do you all think?

No

He will throw quite a few to Sean May but Williams and McCants make plays on their own. Jump shots and drives that won't get him an assist. Unless Williams grows some balls and plays in the paint more I don't see Felton breaking the record.

I think Charlotte fans shouldn't worry about UNC-Ch.

I think you'll see a lot more fastbreak and secondary breaks this season. His assists will go up. That season by Coda was special and will be hard to top.

I'm still wondering who has a better team talent wise than Carolina. I'll get bashed everytime I say it but Carolina is a legit National Title contender with Roy around. They will be better coached - will play some defense this season and by tourney time they will be a force.

Duke is a contender as well - and they scare me more than UConn. Carolina beat UConn without Sean May last season so no reason we can't do it again.

Anyone who thinks that Roy Williams isn't going to have a huge impact on this team is crazy. Carolina will be very good.

So when are you going to take your own advice?? Because you sure post about UNC more than UNCC!

Talent wise I think you are right. And Williams should make a huge difference, but one thing to think about is that everybody has to learn a new system this year, where as if the coach was there the year before just the incoming freshmen have to learn it.

It all depends on how fast this team learns and that Felton and May stay healthy.

Your top 5 can play with anyone. After that, the cupboard is a little bare.
Yup I'd agree with sly on that...Tarheels better have run a LOT of wind sprints in the off season to be able to stay in the game for LONG periods or SOMEONE damn well better step up from the bench

and as far as Jawad goes he's put on 20 lbs in the weight room so he can play more in the paint... expect him to have a breakout year this year... he's had good touch and timing.. now he FINALLY has some muscle to back it up

With how Jawad was built if he put on 20lbs of muscle in one off season, that is a lot. I hope it's true, but that could hurt his outside shoot some gaining that much so fast. Not that we need him shooting from out there anyways.

He needs to learn how to play with his back to the basket which is what Powell  needed to learn.
