21:49 PT: Steve Reed reports for the Gaston Gazette the Carolina Panthers remain interested in free agent CB Terry Fair (Lions). He wants to complete his visits before he picks a team. Reportedly, he's expected to decide between Carolina and Baltimore, although Green Bay could be a wild card.


Also on Kffl.com his agent said he wanted to go where he could start, so that should wipe out the Packers. Looks like we'll see him one way or the other Sunday. Just hope he's on our side of the field.

he has starting talent and could have beaten Howard if he had been here. Problem is the Ravens are looking for depth and insurance behind Baxter, they're not looking for a starter. Fair probably wouldn't start here unless Howard falters.

But if he wants to come, bring it.

You also would have to think that he would take some weight off Smith's shoulders in the return game. I think this would be a pick up that could ultimately help us in more ways than one.

On the Howard note, I think he would start in front of Cousin based on what I've seen in the preseason. It seems to me as if Fair got a starting position here, it would be Cousin's and not Howard's. This would also allow Cousin to move back to the nickel where he has been so successful over the passed couple of years.

There is no doubt in my mind that Fair would be a starter in Carolina. I too would prefer him over Cousins and Cousins at nickle.
