Excel?

I got a problem with mine.

Good point!

If I open an Excel file, I get the tool bar and the rest of the screen is blank, I then have to go to "file/open" and scroll down the drop down box to find the file again and click on it at which point it opens.

is that just on the one file?

if you do as Save As and then double click on the file, does it open then?

sounds like it's just a file from a different version on Excel, so it launches the application but doesn't open the file, but i'm no Ex_pert

no, it happens on every file,

This sounds like your problem but I don't know your version.
