Even with the loss, I still see the Panthers moving up 4 spots with the Rams tumbling the furthest. I think people's love of the Steelers will keep us from hitting #13. The top 6 are a tough call. What would you change?

1 Raiders 3-0
2 Dolphins 3-1
3 Eagles 3-1
4 Chargers 4-0
5 Patriots 3-1
6 Broncos 3-1
7 Packers 3-1
8 Buccaneers 3-1
9 Saints 3-1
10 Bears 3-1
11 49ers 2-1
12 Colts 2-1
13 Steelers 1-2
14 Panthers 3-1
15 Bills 2-2
16 Jaguars 2-1
17 Chiefs 2-2

27 Rams 0-4
28 Vikings 0-4
29 Ravens 1-2
30 Texans 1-3
31 Jets 1-3
32 Bengals 0-4

edit: couple changes due to Raven's win.

Guess I'll never understand how they pick this stuff.

I can't believe after a 3-1 record we are still ranked 17th. Damn kicker, had we won, maybe we would've finally gotten some respect. And don't give me that crap about how it's not the kickers fault. Thats a damn chip shot that most JUNIOR HIGH kickers can make, let alone an NFL kicker, pressure or no. And no, the team didn't play a perfect game, but rarely does ANY team play a perfect game.

Bottom line is this. If the Cats keep winning we are gonna get respect. We have the #1 defense in football and one of the top RB in the league statistically. This team is light years ahead of my highest expectation. I think it is safe to say that we can expect a very competitive team that should only get better the next couple of years.

Think of this team next year?
Another competent veteran CB (good forbid we sign McAlister!)
DeShaun Foster full strength (god willing)
A stud WR rookie to go with Moose and Smith moves to 3rd WR.
An more experienced Peppers/Jenkins/Morgan/Grant led defense
And the best punter in the league to go with (hopefully) a reliable kicker.

All of those things are very much in reach in the next offseason IMO. This team isn't far being damn good.

We are better in the Sportsline.com poll -

15 Carolina Panthers (23 last week)
The phantom pass-interference penalty and a bad kicker cost them a chance at 4-0 Sunday.

The bucs are still overrated. They have only beat teams that have a combined 1-10 record. We have beat teams with a combined 2-10. :)
