Panthers in last, and Eagles in first at this point...

Eagles have a MAJOR team issue regarding TO, meanwhile its got other minor issues outside of TO, that are under the radar right now. These would be bigger issues if not for the TO deal. So even if that one is resolved which may by itself screw the season up, they've got to deal with Simon, Buckhalter, and Westbrook. No way in hell they win the NFC IMO with all that going on. Furthermore without TO giving 100%, the Eagles WRs suck, and that coupled with Westbrook and Buckhalter not give 100% the EAGLES suck.

As far as the other teams Minnesota has the potential to be good, and without Randy Moss they don't irritate me quite as much.

Atlanta I think will fall a little bit this year. As was said by someone else here previously, New England discovered how to beat the Falcons. Stop his running and allow Vick to beat you by passing, because he can't do it. This team will have to rely on Dunn and Duckett this year to get them into the playoffs, but anyone establishing an early lead against the Falcons should be able to win at that point.

2. I think the Eagles, whatever they're saying, have to be concerned at the prospect of playing three wideouts named Lewis, McMullen and Brown. Whatever happens to Terrell Owens -- contractually or with his groin -- the depth at receiver is going to sorely tested, as is the ability to make people fear the offense. I'm not saying Todd Pinkston (out for the year with a torn Achilles) is at all special, nor Freddie Mitchell (gone to Kansas City via low-cost free-agency), but the Eagles have lost their second and third/fourth receivers for the year, and as Mitchell told me over the weekend: "Last year, that offense would walk on the field and know they were going to beat the other team. This year, they've got to have some questions in their mind with all the new guys, and not knowing if they're going to have Brian Westbrook." I'm sure Westbrook will be in by opening day, and Owens will likely be there too. But after that, they'll be counting on quite a few very regular guys.
