Eric Washington

His Trgovachian fetish of dropping lineman into coverage bothers me, as I've noted before, but we came into this game 10th in defense and we've created a bunch of turnovers. I think Panther fans need to be more realistic about the talent level on that side of the ball. Luke and Short are game changers. Everyone else is good-to-average at this stage of their careers.

On top of that, it's really, really, really fucking hard to play elite defense in 2018.

I couldn’t agree more, B & B. But good coaches make adjustments. And even if the defense comes up short, 52 points is inexcusable. This isn’t my the NCAA.
You were correct in a post last night when you addressed the absence of adjustments early on by Washington.

And Smoke Screen, maybe G-Man needs a new D-Coordinator? He seems to cover our sloppy seconds. I think we can recommend one.

You’re 6-3 and you lost a Thursday Night interconference road game. You can scale back his play calling duties, but it’s not sensible to make a firing right now.

Washington isn't going anywhere. He's a quality coach who's been integral to our program. That being said, I wouldn't be stunned if Ron took over playcalling at some point in the future.

The sky is not falling. . . It was just a new age slaughter in steel town. That will happen, and the panthers were the wide-eyed sacrifice this time. The very clear difference to me was O-line play. The glaring disparity in talent level was laughable (or sad if you're a panther fan).
To see the faces of OUR O-linemen watching THEIR O-linemen last night . .. Kinda like the faces of those special olympics kids invited to watch the London Track and Field in 2012.

Ron's protocol for day-after-loss pressers seems to be just to wear the same outfit he wore during the game. He was wearing his generic sideline attire the Monday after the Redskins loss. I don't think he sleeps after losses.
