Email Question - rules etc

OK, I know how to set up rules etc in outlook but I'm wondering if there is a way to make it so only the email accounts I specify are allowed to come into the email program. Kind of the reverse of blocking. With blocking you have to get the email before you can block it.

This is for my soon to be 10 year old daughter's PC. Since I can't be there every time she opens email, I want her to receive only those emails from an approved list.

If Outlook will not do this, any other email programs that have this feature for POP3 accounts?

In XP Pro, you can set up users. From there you can set your log in with a password, and hers without. Each user will have their own e-mail account, and My Documents folder. Give yourself Admin rights, and not hers.

My wife and I have ours set that way, and it's really cool. After the screen saver comes back on, you have to log back in. The computer is like you left it when you return.

Go to Control Panels, User Accounts, and create new account.

Create her e-mail account there. You can leave her e-mail in your too if want, or delete it.

As for child safe e-mail, believe it or not, AOL is the best for this. A bring your own access account is about $10/month. I have Earthlink, and when you set an e-mail up, I think you can create an e-mail for kids as well. Not sure about just RR. Go to where you create e-mail accounts online, and see if there's settings for it. Or maybe you can change the settings on existing accounts.

Outlook 2003 can do this out of the box:

Tools, Options, Junk E-mail Filter. Set it to most secure option (only people in your contact list can send you mail), check the box at the bottom that says to delete mail instead of putting it into your junk e-mail folder.

That Outlook, is that in the OfficeXP 2003, or is that a seperate download.....er, uh I mean purchase?

Buy it as part of Office2003 or I think it is also available as a separate product.

Yea, I'm aware of all that but that really does not answer the question. Can I make her account so she only receives emails from accounts I have on an approved list?

It's not in Express....you gotta have the full version of outlook.
