with the Marshall and Memphis loss today ECU has locked their spot in the Conference USA championship game. Likely opponents are Houston or Tulsa. Longshot is Rice.

Nice to make it, but geesh.....

All three of those teams are pass happy. We cant defend the pass.

Also...with 15 (or is it 18) players from the 2-deep injured right now...this could get ugly.

I think at one point we had 14 or 15 starters injured and 22 from the 2-deep out.

Congrats to ECU on going to the championship game and hoping they can bring it back to North Carolina.

Probably going to be an ass whipping, but you never know. Nice to see them have their shot.

Oh it most likely will. Hate to say it, but we are barely even a shell of the team we started with this year. And even if we had every original starter from the beginning of the year...pass D was the weak point then. All 3 of the west teams with a chance are pass-happy.

Would be nice to make it back to the Liberty bowl, thoguh.

we are pretty banged up, but even though UTEP is garbage we looked real impressive against them. The guys that are playing played really well in their final home game and I think that its a good shot in the arm going into tomorrow.

Is Skip a candidate for the Syracuse job?

I have heard his name mentioned multiple times, but Skip has also said he would only leave ECU for Notre Dame. I think that ECU will give him a hefty raise sometime soon to keep him around. He is making that program a lot of money with ticket sales going through the roof and the publicity they are getting from more and more National TV games.

They just gave him one 3 months ago. Supposed to put him around the top 30 in the nation (with bonuses, incentives, etc added in)

But that "BCS" tag sure helps those schools get coaches from schools like ECU.
