DVDA

My car plays DVD-A. Pretty cool. I got a DVD that plays SACD but for some reason I can't get them to play. Do you need a specific receiver to play SACD?

You need a specific Player to play SACD and you need a specific type of audio inputs on the back of your AVR to accomdate the 5 inputs that SACD require.

True with DVDA as well, assuming you want a true surround musical experiance. Most all DVDA's will play in a DVD player, but that doesnt give you the multichannel experiance.

Trust me when I say that you have never experianced Pink Floyds, Dark Side of the Moon until you have listened to it on the SACD on a good system.

Other than football my other passion is Home Theater.

THat's odd. My DVD only has optical and coax out. But still I can't get the SACD to work.

Post your model so I can research what you have.
