Is tomorrow. Still a huge game for both teams, maybe even bigger depending on the outcome of Wake/State. Heels lose, they're probably in the play in game in the tournament. If they win they could be a 7 seed. Duke loses, they could be knocked out of a tie for first or knocked down to a 3 seed for the tournament. I if they win I think they're guaranteed a 2 because Maryland has more overall losses even though they'll have the same conference record.

Anyway, I am predicting Duke by 5. Bunky or riddel, case of beer on this one? Straight up bet. And riddel, no Newcastles. I don't like them things. Just pick some domestic beer that's not so expensive if you wanna bet. Bunky, our bet is same as always, PBR's against Millers.

nope

the only way that happens is if UVA upsets Maryland

and the way those teams are playing I don't see that happening.

although to be honest with you - it would be better for the Heels if it did happen.

if they lose tomorrow and in the first round of the ACC they can't even make the NIT.

ironic huh? they need to get into the winnable play in game just to make a post season tourney.

If MAryland, Duke, and Wake win out Duke will be 3rd seed. Only ACC performance is taken into account. Duke lost to Fla State which will finish last. That will put them in 3rd because Maryland losses are better.

Silver, the tie breaker procedure goes head-to head and then head-to-head against the teams in order of finish.

Wake Forest - lost to Duke, Maryland & Virginia
Duke - lost to Wake Forest, Maryland, NC State & Florida State
Maryland - lost to Wake Forest, Duke, Georgia Tech & Virginia

If Duke & Maryland tie, Maryland will get the #2 seed due to Duke's loss to NC State. Now the kicker, if NC state defeats Wake Forest and Duke and Maryland both win, it's Maryland, Duke and the Deacons fall to third seed.

A Maryland loss to Virginia puts them at #3. A Duke win and a Wake Forest loss gives the #1 seed to Duke due to the Deacon's loss to Virginia.

Wow. Thanks for sorting all that out for me. I was just going from memory on won/loss records.

Anyway, I guess I'm gonna have to pull for State. I hate to pull against Wake, but since I like them both that won't be too bad.

Even though if Duke somehow ended up number 1 seed it would suck to have to play the Heels a 3rd time.

I'll still pull for State and Virginia. I can't bring myself to pull for Maryland. I've gotten to where I dislike them as much as UNC.

paul as of now unc is 15-14 and win make up 16-14 and 100chanes of going to NIT a lose make us 15-15 and a must Win in next game
