Duke loses to Purdue

Fuck.

Well I certainly hope this team is still learning as K says. If not it is going to be a long year. Purdue just pounded us inside and it looks like we are currently too soft to handle that. Our big men played well on the offensive end, which is surprising, but they sucked on the offensive end and our guards stunk it up too.

I didn't expect us to go undefeated this year but I didn't expect a loss this early either. Hopefully the guys are embarrassed, will learn some humility and hunger, and will take that forward to Michigan State.

Is dook not as deep as everybody thinks? Only 8 players played in this game, with Horvath only playing 1 minutes and another with 6. You could almost say this was just a 6 man rotation.

Didn't see the game, so can't really comment other than that.

Deng and Redick went a combined 11 for 34 from the field. That ain't a good sign if you pull for Dook.

I didn't see the game either, but I'm not too disappointed. I didn't want that Number 1 bullseye hanging on Duke so early. I just hope they get Randolph some more pt this year and let him develop some - they're gonna need him. But Purdue is a good team, they'll be ranked.

Bad news is playing at # 4 Michigan State next. UGH.

Duke never seems to use their depth much I don't think, even when they have it. I think sometimes Coach K lets them get too tired. Like I said, I didn't see the game but not using enough guys is a good possibility.

from what i've seen it's a lot like last year. guys are standing around waiting on reddick to get open. but last year dahntay jones would and could shoot. i know deng can do it, but somebody else is gonna have to hit. i didn't expect duke to be cold this long, but their shooting woes have been alot of open looks. but now they are starting to force stuff. their defense still has been good, but they aren't scoring the 90 points they are used to scoring. i just hope they really are in a learning phase. i don't wanna see them lose, but if they are i'd rather them get this crap out of the way now instead of march.

What's really hurts Duke is Duhon not being comfortable with taking the shot. What's gotten into him? I remember him as a freshman not being this timid with shooting.

he had jason williams to save his ass when it mattered. duhon for the most part has been a dissappointment. i really just don't like the way duke has looked for the most part. i don't know if that is coach k's game plan, but their halfcourt offense is just ugly.

You Duke fan mit like to hear this but you guys are not as good .All you dook fan talk about Unc benched is not so deep .Look at your benched We have 8guys come off the benched. And when David Noel and Damion Grant we will have 10Guys that come of the benched.And you guys have only 7guys that come off the benched .and one of this guy that come off the benched cant even score.
