Was is PantherPaul who would be in NY? Whoever it was, you're in luck. I suspected they would want to stay close to NFL offices. This from PFT:

<<The NFL Draft will be held at the Javits Convention Center in New York, designed by renowned architect I.M. Pei (we can hear Homer Simpson chuckling in the distance); the event was moved from Madison Square Garden after its owner tried to outbid the Jets for Manhattan real estate on which the team wants to build a stadium.>>

The link, which didn't paste, is to NFL.com somewhere.

I would get there before 8 and stand in line for 4 hours. I'll try to get better info.

Too bad. FWIW, for anyone else, here's the post from Adam from TFY:

<<At least three hours before it begins at the latest. The earlier the better. >>

Convention centers usually have those meeting rooms with walls you can move around to get the size of room you want. Meeting rooms usually have flat floors, and they bring in as many chairs and/or tables as you want. I bet somewhere in there they have a theater with a floor that rises as it goes back. It will be interesting to see if they make more room than they had before.

The place is freaking huge. I was there a couple of weeks ago for a travel convention. It's on the west side near the Hudson.
