We are two and half games back of Atlanta with twelve games left for us and eleven for them. Do we have a chance at catching them? Tampa and New Orleans seem close to mailing it in. Atlanta is really not that good. Detroit beat them and they could lose to San Deigo pretty easily. They struggled a lot with Arizona. It is not like we have an impossible situation. The problem is that we have played poorly. How do we get better?

Our running game is probably not the answer. Davis is still nicked up and the OL is weak. Jake has lost his best receiver. Finding a way to patch our run D seems like the best option. If we can play a lot of games close to the vest until we get a little more healthy we might have a shot. After Philly it eases up, if we can upset them we will be back in contention.

I agree that if we shock Phili we are right back in the hunt. One thing is for sure, our coaches arent going to mail it in, so if they can find a way to pull some emotion and fire and somehow mix that into a terrific performance Sunday we might be fine. Shouldnt Davis be back shortly after this weeks game? If so and the schedule loosens a bit, then we might be able to make a mid season surge.

theoretically yeah it's possible. But with the effort I saw last week, it's like these guys just dont want it anymore. They could come back and sneak up on atlanta, but they'll have to get their heads out of their asses to do it. This team doesnt even have the same pride it did last year.

I don't think TB is going to mail it in. I think they're playing better gradually.
But we should be able to beat them, or at least compete with them. I agree that Atlanta is good, but beatable. We have a chance.

IMO Atlanta is not one bit above anyone in this conference. I really expect 9-7 to win the south. Atlanta now has the edge but I expect them to have a losing record in the conference. Everyone has a chance in the south including NO.

I agree, NO can't be overlooked. Too much talent down there, now if they had the coaching???

No chance Davis will play this weekend? Having him would help.

I am hoping Owens trash talk will get our D fired up. Jake just has to play better and start hitting his receivers instead of throwing too high all the time.

I think 10-6 will win this division. We would have to go 9-3 to get there.
