DirecTV DVR - What is the "window" button for?

I just got my new DirecTV DVR, and they guy that installed it was less than helpful. He didn't even install the DVR correctly as far as having a dual tuner, etc. Needless to say, he didn't go over ANYTHING at all -

The Remote has a "WINDOW" button on the top left, but when pressed, nothing happens. I scoured the manual, nothing. Nothing even listed in the Index for "window".

Went online, scoured the DirecTV site... Nothing about the "window" button.

I know that TimeWarner has the PIP option using their DVR, I figure this could be similar...

Anyone know what the hell this button is for? It's bugging the crap out of me.

bring up PIP, then hit the window button

Call DirecTV, they'll refund your installation fee. Their customer care department is FANTASTIC.
