I see Foster coming in next year very strong and bigger. Is this not the first time he's finished the season healthy? Every offseason, there's always been some type of the rehab. I'm really looking forward to Foster coming into training camp 100% and ready to compete, and move the pile. And with D.Williams, this is the most excited I've every been about next years RB situation. Both back finished off the season healthy...

He was fine after the 2003 season and should have been fine after the 2004 season as the collar bone injury happened fairly early in the season.

We get those guys some blocking and they'll both do some damage.

I've never been a big fan of Foster. They want him to be a bruiser, and he isn't. Williams has got potential if he is in an offense that will utilize his speed.

Ahhh.... that being said.... so much depends on what goes on from here with the offense.

I'm just not ready to dump Foster especially in light of our oline. There were several games when Foster was the one making bigger gains of the RBs out there. The guy just has amazing balance. I think if our oline could stay the same guys week in and out from camp on, and get solid guys if some need replacing, that our run game would improve. That and have more imaginative play calling and once in a while not run up the middle on 3rd and 30, or run up the middle against a team we've had some luck running outside on or vice versa. If it works, keep doing it - if it doesn't, STOP IT.

Foster is not a feature back and never will be.

Healthy?

He sat out 2 games this year. His numbers are blaaaah and he is not dependable. He is only good as a change up back and his stats SCREAM that point.

I would rather be wrong and watch him run for someone else. I'm so done with that guy.

I like Williams alot.

why not. not like we have given him a chance to play.....although we have studied the mess out of his practices.

even with a crappy run blocking line, Foster came close to 1000 yards. Not terrible, considering another guy took 120 carries/500 yards off his workload. The only disappointing part about Foster was that he slipped with the passing game...he showed he's an excellent pass blocker, but his receiving yards went from decent to poor. 5 yards/reception isn't that good.

I also would've figured more rushing TDs. Nonetheless, he was fairly durable this year, there's not much you can do about his injury and certainly he was no less durable than Williams. He's got a pass for the year.



Williams has some work to do. He's not a good pass blocker, which will take time and effort; he was supposed to be an elite cutback guy and looked somewhat as tentative about cutting as Foster (less so, but more than I expected from him). Still, he had some breakaway runs to compliment his mistakes, and hopefully there'll be more home runs and less mistakes soon. You can't say he didn't pass for the year, but in the end, I was expecting more than with Foster because he has more talent. Still, he's done well, and should do better with blocking.


Shelton needs to earn some time before he gets any hype.
