Delhomme gelding, “Woozy,” wins $150,000 race
OPELOUSAS, La. — Quarterback Jake Delhomme’s 2-year-old gelding Woozy has earned back his $6,700 purchase price more than tenfold.

The horse, bought last October, won Saturday’s $150,000 D.S. “Shine” Young Memorial Futurity.

Delhomme, of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers, races under the stable name Set Hut LLC.

I lost $100 on the Ponies and another $50 on "other gambling" this weekend. Wish I would have known his horse was running, at leats I would have cut some of my losses.

Jake knows what he he will be doing after football, which is better than most. His whole family is involved in the Racing biz.

You are correct. He wanted to name the horse Concussion, but it was taken. Woozy was what he settled for.
