So a flurry of DE signings....the most significant being:

LaMarr Houston to Bears 5 yrs $35m ($7m per)
Michael Johnson to Tampa Bay 5 years $43m ($8.6 per)
Michael Bennett stays Seattle 4 years $28.5m ($7m per)
Everson Griffen stays Minnesota 5 years $42.5m ($8.5 per)

the first three are very solid DE's and form a baseline for what a quality DE is worth, the question is, where do these signings value Hardy?

None of those guys getting even $9 mil is good news, but it still depends on Hardy's agent. I can't see him settling for less than $10 mil and I'd actually be surprised at less than $12 mil.

Peppers contract is going to be interesting. I bet he signs for a lot less than where he surmised his career would be five years ago.

I think the more interesting question is whether he gets more than Jared Allen.

You are correct, sir. My money is on Allen, however.

Did Allen sign yet?

Nope. Denver is looking at him, but Fox would have to give up a watch to sign him.

Any interest in DeMarcus Ware? More a pass rusher, but might he be had on a tighter budget?
