I think I made a post about this earlier, but someone decided to call me a moron and said that this deal would never happen. I certainly expect this deal to go through and I think that it is an excellent move by the cubs.

Sean: I have heard the Brian Roberts for Sean Marshall, Sean Gallagher and Ronny Cedeno rumor. Do you think the Baltimore Orioles would really agree to that? It seems like they are not getting enough value for Roberts.

Mike: Keep in mind that Roberts is signed through 2009 and, in a rebuilding situation, the Orioles are figuring they'll lose him. I don't think Marshall is necessarily a No. 1 or 2 starter, but he seems to have good enough stuff to be a reliable third guy for a long time. He is 6-7 and a lefty, after all, and both are bonuses. Gallagher is the bigger prize. He just turned 22 and, in 84 minor league games, he went 36-15 with a 2.70 ERA and struck out 452 in 452 innings. The Orioles can afford to give him time to develop. It would be a couple of nice arms to get for Roberts -- if anything, I wonder if the Cubs are giving up too much.

You're a moron precisely because you can't follow along with reality. I never said that the Cubs wouldn't trade for Roberts, I said:

Have you noticed yet how you post thread after thread about who the Cubs are going to pick up, and yet they never do? Remember when the Crawford deal was supposed to be announced some Monday last month?

I'm not saying it won't happen, I'm saying that you should temper your fandom and realize that there are about one million rumors this time of year, when maybe 10-15 end up coming true. It's fine to talk about things relating to your favorite team, but don't confuse a rumor with reality.

Again, you need to go find a place more suited to someone of your intellectual level. You are too stupid to participate at this forum.

Edit:
Oh, and I did say that the Carl Crawford deal wouldn't happen, while you said it would be completed Monday, November 19th. Who ended up being wrong about that one?

what? are you saying something? I can't see it....but my guess is that you have said something about you never said the cubs wouldn't get Roberts. Wait....I never said that you said that....i just said "someone". So, if in fact your post does say something about you never saying that, then why did you just incriminate yourself? Don't bother answering....because like I said.....I can't see it, and I don't care about your idiotic, self-righteous opinions.

Pretending that you can't read something you obviously just did is something a child would do, which is probably why you did it.

If this deal does go through as reported, I think that the cubs need to pick up a free agent pitcher in case that the whole Ryan Dempster move to starter doesn't pan out. Maybe they could get Lohse, that would be phenominal.
