The Panthers are a second tier NFC team that could make the playoffs and could win a playoff game. I would be proud of that. At the same time, acknowledge that there's a lot of work to do to close the gap on the pursuit of a world championship. That's the fucking point of this, guys. The hard reality of the NFL is there's 31 car crashes and one happy team. This team needs to make some not-so-insignificant changes if they want to avoid their 24th conservative car crash.

It's not a balanced roster. The strengths are strong, but the deficiencies are really, really terrible. The reason why our redzone defense stinks is because we can't leave Worley or Seymour isolated, which means teams have more room to run down there than usual. And some of the stengths are old - Olsen and Peppers have a combined age of 80.
