Cheap mouse

Looking for a cheap mouse. Built a new computer for the fiancee, which will replace her old one which goes to her mother. But the problem is, all the peripherals must go with her old computer, obviously...which isn't a big deal. Can buy a mouse. This week, her mouse started screwing up, meaning I'd have to buy a second mouse, which I don't want to spend anything on. Thoughts?

aww comeon you can get a mouse for 8 bucks. if you're in charlotte you can pull one out of the box at goodwill on freedom for one or 2

I got a USB optical from Big Lots for $3.

long since done. Ball/wheels. The mouse stopped being active in real time - there was lag, but everything else was unimpeded. The scroll wheel stopped working a couple weeks ago.

Dunno where a Big Lots is, but sounds like I should find it out. I'm not spending any more than I need to, on a mouse that will be around only long enough for us to find a flat panel monitor (so we can give away the old comp).
