If the sources are correct, the Canes will open the 02-03 season against the New York Ranjerks October 9th at the ESA!!!!! They will also have a game against them on New Years Eve (it was a popular promotion 2 years ago to have a New Years Eve Party at the ESA after the game . . . nice to see the NHL cooperate this time 
!!!!!). Unfortunately guys, it sounds like Charlotte isn't getting a preseason game again this year . . . . $%&*#()*$&(#)*$&()*#$&()#$&(*)#&$()*#&$()#$&()#

Can someone explain why the Canes insist on playing 2 games at the Florida Everblades each year vs. playing a couple of neutral site games here in the Carolinas to expand their fan base (yeah, yeah making the Stanley Cup run this past season helped a whole lot, but still they should be playing games in CLT, Greenville, Charleston, & Greensboro on a rotation) !!!!!!
