I didn't like to see him get run out of NJ and then all the rumors that his assistants did the work (Franks and Johnson) now he steps into possibly the worst situation in the league. Ownership that is leaguewide known as crap, moving to a much harder league, lousy fan base which in turn could force ANOTHER move. Have fun Byron. 3 words of advice. "Rent, Dont Buy"

Shinn is boxed into a corner. Right now, he has the next to worst attendance in the league in the smallest and poorest NBA market. He is going to the west next year and in all probability will be a lottery team next year this time. Shinn's only ace-in-the-hole is the tax support he is getting from Louisiana and New Orleans, but since the state is broke, that is in dire danger of drying up. Shinn HAS to make the appearances that he is trying to win, or next year his attendance will go down to nothing. That's why he hired Scott instead of some bargain basement piece of crap. I feel sorry for Scott. He's a good coach, and he deserves better than Shinnridge.
