Brunell's deal with Deadskins

I'm sorry but I gotta say that the Deadskins fuggin blew it with that Brunell deal.

They gave the guy a 7 yr 43m contact and 8+m signing bonus.
Not to mention gave up a 3rd round pick this year.

I'm sure I'm in the minority but if they get rid of Ramsey (in any way) I'll find that to be one of the worst moves in the last 5 yrs. Gibbs is reaching and he'll grab air with that fuggin move.

the 7 year part of the deal was to just spread the cash around. No way he even plays for half of this. The signing bonus is what'll make him happy. This doesn't look like a backup's contract, but Ramsey can't really do anything about it. His contract is very cap friendly and the Redskins could keep him until the end of it.

I realize about the 7 yrs but an 8m bonus is huge IMO. I just don't like the deal at all. I said last year that they could'nt sign Bailey and they were in trouble overall because of the big cash they have thrown at decent players.

If I'm a deadskins fan - I'm very fuggin worried about what's going on in Washington right now.

Dumping RAmsey might not be bad - especially if they can obtain a capable backup to Brunell, and they get Miami's #20 - they could grab Rivers for the future.

Ramsey has publicly whined about the Brunell deal. Ramsey could get a fresh start, the skins could lose the locker room tension AND draft for the future in Rivers.

But GOddam if Snyder isn't running that shit into the ground. Brad Johnson should still be the fucking QB.

Shcoker - the point is they WOULDN'T be counting on Rivers - they'd be counting on Brunell and Rivers would know his role. Ramsey, on the other hand, is being whiny.

I DEFINITELY think the best option is to keep Ramsey. And Gibbs ought to be able to handle it. But Ramsey was a holdout, he's kinda got a history of being a malcontent. Plus, he's being benched, and feels he doesn't deserve it.

Either way, they need SOMEONE waiting under Brunell, because he's old. And good FA qb's are tough as hell to find.

I hope that rumor is from stupid Skins fans (or should I say "Skins fans") because I'd really be surprised if they got a #1 for Ramsey.
