I did a thorough debunking of Leftwich when he almost took the Jags job, so I don't think he's great, but he seems like a better fit than a defensive coordinator who failed in New York.

He's always struck me as the type of coach who cares more about the perception of it "not being all about him" than the reality of it not being all about him. Those are the most irritating people in the world. Either be a no bullshit guy like Andy Reid or an open narcissist like Sean Payton.

Bowles probably deserves another chance since he failed the same way every other jets coach has since y2k: defensive success bolstered by free agency followed by being pulled down by the offense.
